Does the facelifted Galaxy, 2.8i Ghia Auto (204bhp) mid 2001, have the same ECU as the Sharan?

Is it running PWM or ISO protocol?

The only thing I can glean from the car is that it has a purple 16 pin connector under the fusebox on the RHS of the column.

Has anyone used VAG-COM on a Galaxy and did they select the Sharan or Alhambra as type? I have been told that VAG-COM only works on VW derivative engines but not Ford and that Galaxies can have either, how do I know which derivitave I have?

As the 2.8 engine is a VW engine, I would think so.

The data link connector (DLC) is a standard 16-pin connector, which connects the communication lines (CAN, SCP and ISO 9141), the EEPROM programming line and the diagnostic tester power supply.
